::this week::

This week we…

…had fun at our library’s summer reading program kick off.

…became friends with a sweet family that has only been in the U.S. for one month.

…participated in our church’s VBS – at a park downtown.

…have talked alot about the differences between Kenya and the U.S.

…took in the last of our neighbor’s 7 chicks until she can get rid of whatever is killing the flock.

…took our new friends to the library – their first experience in a free public library. Amazing and overwhelming, all at the same time.

…started our summer sewing school – or the “Triple S” as Phoebe calls it.

…have become more grateful for the things we have, instead of wishing for things we don’t have.

Thanks for sharing with your friends!

Rachel: They are from Kenya. We are having so much fun listening to their stories. My children's world is definately opening up.

Have fun sewing.

Your sweet new friends must be from Kenya. What a school experience for the kids. We have a friend from Africa and he has stories to tell. We need to have him over for a day of listening.

I'll be pulling out the sewing goodies this weekend. Thanks for putting it on for everyone.
