The chicks are here! Friday, Phoebe and Benjamin became the proud “parents” of 25 baby hens.

We spent the weekend working outside, enlarging the chicken coop and making some pens for these little girls to be in after they leave our mudroom but before they go into the chicken yard. The older boys have decided to make a “chicken tractor” and move it around the yard to see if it will keep them from having to mow so much!

I worked in the garden along with whoever wasn’t doing something else. We got our corn planted and a new bed tilled. All in all, it was a great weekend!
