Our family isn’t much of a cake eating family. But brownies, oh, we can put some serious hurt on a pan of brownies. Over the years we’ve looked high and low for a gooey homemade brownie recipe. And through a lot of trial and error we finally have one.
The key to this recipe is melting the butter and heating up the sugar and cocoa in it.

Chewy, Gooey, Homemade Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (or coconut oil)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup cocoa
- 1 cup flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup nuts
Instructions
Melt butter in a medium pan on the stove.
Stir in sugar, cocoa and vanilla.
Let cool just a little.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat well.
our into 9X13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
