Christian and Josiah are at scout camp for Spring Break and so the rest of us went to a beach yesterday with some friends. It’s not the beach we normally go to but its only 40 minutes away. (or an hour and a half, if you forget your purse and don’t realize it until you […]
Phoebe has only had two hair cuts in her entire life and the last one was 3 years ago, of course she’s had a little trim here and there. After watching Princess Protection Program a few months ago we cut long bangs and angled the front of her hair – but that’s it. Until Saturday. […]
Last week a guy that Carl works with gave us some goose eggs. Apparently, they found this goose that had been hit by a car and nursed her back to health. So now she lays eggs all over the yard, but with no male in sight they go unfertilized. So, he gave them to us. […]
Today is Benjamin’s birthday, he is now 8! Time has definately flown these past 8 years. Benjamin wants so badly to be like his older brothers and yet at times is content to be my little boy ~ I know that part won’t last much longer so I savor every moment of it. I thought […]
This morning we went to the Family Outdoor Expo. We had a great time. There was some… …shoulder rides…horse rides…lots of rock wall climbing There was also a little fishing, BB shooting, lama and camel petting and, of course, candy eating just to round out the experience. Hope you’re having a great weekend, too!

Thank you for all of the condolences you guys have sent our way through comments, email, cards and flowers. We feel truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!
Yesterday morning my dad passed away. He got up at 4:30 to excercise, have his coffee and watch the news before he headed to the office – just like he did every morning. He died quietly on the couch at some point before 7:00. If he could have picked how he would pass, this is […]
Here’s pictures of our snow day! The kids had a great time playing in it! Esther and I sat in the porch swing just watching it come down – truly relaxing. The next 2 days we made tamales and somehow “misplaced” the camera. I was beginning to think it got rolled into a corn husk. […]
Yesterday we went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Sugarland to see the Naria exhibit. The kids love Naria! Carl started reading the books – complete with “voices” – to them when Christian was about 5 years old. Then we got the Focus on the Family Radio Theater cds and have listened to […]
