That is how our week has been. We’ve have anywhere from 2-4 extra children here most of the week. One being an 11 month old, not Esther, a different 11 month old! We’ve been helping some friends with 2 of their children while they were at the hospital with their 5 year old that had […]
That’s what I’ve been hearing about for weeks. The countdown has ended and the day has finally arrived, Phoebe is 10! There’s something about 10 that just seems so grown up, I think maybe it is the fact that 10 is the first double digit. Phoebe has been thinking about that she will never be […]
Christian and Josiah are at scout camp for Spring Break and so the rest of us went to a beach yesterday with some friends. It’s not the beach we normally go to but its only 40 minutes away. (or an hour and a half, if you forget your purse and don’t realize it until you […]
Phoebe has only had two hair cuts in her entire life and the last one was 3 years ago, of course she’s had a little trim here and there. After watching Princess Protection Program a few months ago we cut long bangs and angled the front of her hair – but that’s it. Until Saturday. […]

This morning we went to the Family Outdoor Expo. We had a great time. There was some… …shoulder rides…horse rides…lots of rock wall climbing There was also a little fishing, BB shooting, lama and camel petting and, of course, candy eating just to round out the experience. Hope you’re having a great weekend, too!
May 2007 on Padre Island Carl turns 42 today! Unfortunately, he had to work today and has a scout meeting tonight so we don’t have alot of time to celebrate. Here’s what we have up our sleeves to surprise him. For dinner we’re making fried calamari – you know, squid– with marinara sauce, spaghetti, baked […]
Thank you for all of the condolences you guys have sent our way through comments, email, cards and flowers. We feel truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!
Yesterday morning my dad passed away. He got up at 4:30 to excercise, have his coffee and watch the news before he headed to the office – just like he did every morning. He died quietly on the couch at some point before 7:00. If he could have picked how he would pass, this is […]
