Hello!
I'm Angi, mom of 6 great kids - Christian, Josiah, Gabriel, Phoebe, Benjamin and Esther - and wife to Carl. Welcome to our little corner of the web. We've recently moved into an older home on 1.5 acres in South Texas. We're in the process of turning this small patch of earth into something that can supply many of our needs for years to come (that includes gardens, fruit trees, chickens and bees so far.) And this house into a home (that includes sewing, cooking, home decorating and homeschooling)
This blog is an attempt to help chronical our days, share information about things we enjoy and are learning about, and encourage others to try new things. Please be aware that even though this blog is anchored in our family life, it will never be about our entire life. First of all, no one wants to look at pictures of dirty dishes in my sink...believe me, they're there! Also, only someone who is living in an alterate universe would believe that there's no fussing, complaining or fighting that goes on over there. It happens...every day...with all of us...did I mention every day? I try really hard to just focus on the positives of our lives.
I love hearing from you! I read every comment and email that comes in, and do my best to reply to questions within the comments at the end of that day (so check back there if you've asked a question). The words you share bring me such joy, encouragement and fun.
Hello Schneider family. It is the Johnston family from Alabama. Stephen and I are doing well. We have 5 kids. Abigail, our 17 yr old has also been doing bees for about 3 yrs. Stephen started his own hive last yr cause she wouldn't share with him. But you seem to put a lot more into yours. Merry Christmas. Hope we can get together again. (It's been what, 16 yrs?)
ReplyDeleteHey, what a great surprise. I'm finding out that beekeeper can be a pretty particular and obsessed group of people. I just take pictures, beg for honey and stay out of the way.
